You're welcome mate. :) If you need any advice making Ambient in Cubasis 3, let me know!
-
Won't lie. It took me years of practice to get my mixes to a professional quality. Okay, brace yourself for a longer post. First of all, there are no "magic plugins" that can make your mixes instantly sound better. You can get a decent sounding mix using stock plugins just fine. Of course some plugins sound better than…
-
Oliver this is incredible! :) My favourite one of yours to date. And yes, ask me questions about mixing. Lmk what you wish to know, mate.
-
Ah okay now I understand better. :) Fair enough mate.
-
This music is fantastic! Very Techno-orientated. Love it. If I may be bold to offer a little critique, the first track seems mastered a bit too loud with audible clipping. The second track has smoother, better mastering. If you ever need help with some quick mastering advice, do let me know mate. I can share with you my…

Excellent choice. Yeah, $150 is a bit of an investment, but worth it. Occasionally there are sales by Steinberg in case you can hold out for some of the IAPs. :)
-
Well, my time is limited today @ollie so I'll try to give as best an answer as I can give. If you're on an iPad, it's definitely difficult to top Groove Rider 2. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/groove-rider-2/id6480135731 Caveat is it can only load AUv3 effects on the send and master channels. However, you can load AUv3…
-
Oh dear god, I just realised you meant AUM! 😂 My brain is a tad slow today. I do apologise. First of all, do you use iPhone or iPad? :)
-
All kinds really. Which AUv3s would you be in the market for? Synths? Romplers? Reverbs and other effects? Also, which host do you plan to switch to? :)
-
Thank you Dendy. Good mate. :) I know that mate. :) It's why I had recently converted to Cubasis 3 after months of searching for an alt DAW, and also why I purchased Groove Rider 2. I just hope that someday Obsidian will be made AUv3. It's truly a powerhouse synth! Which AUv3s mate? :)
-
I swear an NS3 would be amazing! Then again, perhaps Obsidian as an AUv3 plugin on iPhone and iPad would be great. I bet it'd sell very well.
-
That's true. We do all have different tastes in music.
-
Ah, okay. Well, the IAPs are not my main concern. Yes I purchased them, but haven't used any of them in a few years. It's the main app.
-
And what if a person lacks a computer to back up NS2 with? I work exclusively with iOS/iPadOS, and NS2 is one of the most important apps in my toolkit (alongside others like Grand Finale 2 and such).
-
I heard from Cambler on the Loopy Pro Forum IAPs are available for download and, indeed, are free. But yeah, I really, really, really hope that NS2 will live on and that Matt won't throw in the towel.
-
Image courtesy of SigiL on the Loopy Pro Forum. Seems @"Blip Interactive" will no longer support NS2 being in the appstore. 😬
-
Cheers mate and thank you. :) (Wow it has been quite some time since I last logged in here lol.)
-
Thanks mate. :)
-
LOL! Yeah, and I was originally going to just use Logic Pro, but honestly it's such a hassle to use. It's why I've gone back to NS2 to be frank, lol.
-
Hahaha! Honestly, that's hilraious. People just don't understand how to get around the lack of audio tracks.
-
Thank you so much mates. :) That means a million to me. Been a while since I've been here, but I figured I'd check in and see what's up, lol.
-
Thank you Matt! Phew!
-
Hahaha. That Roland T8 looks awesome by the way mate. :) I used to lust after an OP-1F, but I realise what I actually want is an Apple device with a stronger battery, lol.
-
Yeah, lack of audio tracks never stopped me. I've been producing my latest EP in NS2. This may make me return to FLSM again though (not that that's a bad thing as I know it will someday have AUv3 support).
-
I hope it does get sorted. I can't do without NS2 as it's very dead simple to use.
-
Uh, it seems NS2 is no longer appearing in the Appstore. https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/53761/nanostudio-2-removed-from-app-store This isn't looking good.
-
Thank you so much. :) So far 2023 has been good for me. Got two new beats done. One is Synthwave called "Ocean Drive at Night", and the other is a crossover between 8-bit and "boy band" music with the working title "Stephanie". 😂
-
I used to be into NS2's sequence-based song view for EDM, but I'm definitely into NS2's sequence-based song view for Lofi beats now, LOL! But for Ambient, I've tried NS2, Gadget, Cubasis 3, and it's like I just need to "feel it out" when producing Ambient. I live-produced the backing drone for "Lounging in Another World"…
-
Good. :) I wish him the best too. So long as he and his fam are doing well, that's all that matters to me.

https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/comment/1144422/#Comment_1144422 Oops, I'm an idiot, lol. It's the busiest time of year for me. I got your name confused with Skip Hunt. (My brain is frazzled at the moment, lol.) I'll still explain it however. Fluss is a granular synth playground type of thingamabob. It's not like…
