Yeah I’ve packed up my PC and monitors so it’s apple headbuds for me as well. I’m not happy with my mix and trying to figure out why so it’s been slow going. Plus I’m trying to prep up for moving so I’ve had to back off on my music stuff for a bit. In a few months I should have more time, I hope. But I’m going to try and…

@dendy man, your stuff is just so well done. I am a SUCKER for 303’s and yours is lit. I just love the energy of everything and the production is just so on point. Really am jealous but so very proud!! You are just a talent. Can I ask you what you are doing your mixing with? Monitors? Headphones? Any final master…

@ScottVZ man, this is just wonderful! Really great composition, sir! Such a great cinematic vibe going. You’ve done an amazing job with your sample library! Those French horns at around 2:40...glorious. I grew up playing the FR so I’m a sucker for a strong lead line like that. The arpeggio string runs are soooo…

That is awesome! The sample sounds amazing! Really neat melody line and accompanied tracks. Well done!
-
@iPadBeatMaking amazing amazing post. Glad you are able to get some balance in your life and have it not all be just sacrifice, but enriched as well! Looks like you exemplify the reasons Matt put together his creation

@Stiksi that was sick! Production was fantastic. I wish I could create the separation you do. Everything is so clean. And the groove is great. Perfect tempo. I thought I might get fatigued on the pitches up vocal, but the mix puts it in front without making it grating. It’s actually my favorite sound in the song haha.…

Woah!! @coniferprod that looks sweet!!!

So I’ve been working on automation on this song and I’d like to recommend that you take the time to actually do automation. I mean reeeeeaaaaallly automate stuff. At this stage of the song I’m structurally done...the song is basically 90% written. But as I start automating effects, filters, ramps, etc, it starts to change…

@Stanley_V thank you so much for saying that about my music. I really appreciate it. I’ve been playing for 45 years through many different stages of life and I am blown away by the ease at which we are blessed to create with this magical iPads and phones wherever we want. I am greatly influenced by my surroundings when I…

Oh I’m not going to sample an AU. I’m going to sample this on my desktop and plug THOSE samples into Obsidian: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/cinematic/symphony-series-string-ensemble/

For tech support stuff one on one? Sure, it’s quick and interactive. I personally just don’t have enough cycles to get interrupted all day long. I have to get in the zone to be productive to make money to feed my family!
-
Nope. I’m in Slack constantly for work and don’t need another one  It’s so much easier to find good information in thread form. It’s eternal. Personally, I would never hang out in discord.
-
Yeah I’ve got 40+ Obsidian instances rolling in this tune with 17-20 going at the same time. Really, I’m wondering if I sample my own string patches from the NI Orchestral Library and curious how beefy I can make the patches. Don’t get me wrong, the string libraries in the IAP’s are pretty good, but I’m looking for some…

Yeah i’ll Post some stuff this evening

Breaks. Anything for Breakbeat :)
-
I actually forgot I own that already  I need to throw it on a send for this one section of this tune and see what happens.
-
@SlapHappy how did you use IAA in NS2?
-
Some really great stuff rolling in here! I’ve been so IRL busy I haven’t been working on anything, so I’m living vicariously through you all!
-
You discuss news on more than one forum, right? Should we not discuss NS2 on the audiob.us forum at all because we should only discuss it here? Welcome to the internet. We will discuss what we want.

Yeah I don’t see where he was being less than scientific. I think it was pretty apples to apples on compairing the basic things that a sampler would do and nothing very specific to what an individual sampler might do. I think people just don’t like to see their stuff get pointed out as less efficient. A guy pointed out…

These kits are freaking gold. Thank you so much @richardyot
-
You can trigger audio via slate or as a sample in Obsidian. But besides that, it is shown when you bought it that audio tracks are an IAP and would be out in the future. Why would you pay all this money for something that said it didn’t have audio tracks specifically if that’s your requirement? Did you not read any of the…
-
Hey all, what’s the best way to install these kits?
-
Could you script it out on your desktop to put everything into a specific folder structure and then just drag that into the nanostudio folder to give you a head start?
-
This was a wonderful exchange of idea’s. Great stuff!!
-
I think that’s a wise choice. Hope you can squirrel away some funds soon!
-
If I did that way, right now I’d have 140 tracks. Scrollpocolypse.
-
Yeah right on the keyboard somewhere
-
I’ve noticed this as well. I agree with you, I’d rather it stay where I want it.
-
I’ve always done this as well... BUT... Couldn’t I also automate the fader and tweak the gain control on the built in effect as well and get the same result?
