Yeah, Infinite is pretty amazing in allowing inter-harmonic bin shifts, and the fact that Wavegenerator can pump tables into Infinite is really cool. I read this too but also not sure how real it is. I also heard it may only be removed from iPhones, but that is also just a guess/rumor. I hope they do not remove this as it is another step in a good direction of responsive touch surfaces.

OK, got it working with MIDIFlow (needed to remap MIDI channel as it looks like Riffer is CH1 output only) as a connection test; but still have sync issue (start/stop) and that will have to wait until a future update (unless I’m missing some other trick).

Yeah - but I’m not trying to be authentic either... :) On the other hand, that limitation might be a good arrangement motivator. But I do kind of like the squonk sound at the end too...

If anyone is interested, you can get a free sample pack of the Mellotron - every note is sampled but there are no loops and you can hear the “squeak” at the end of the tape sample (this may or may not be good). I’ve got these and they sound good and are well-recorded but I would like to get sustain-loops going in them.…

+1 I’m with @mrwilson, with a new Logitech Slim (the keys are way better than my 2yr old MacBook Pro - yuk) and I would use QWERTY -> MIDI note events, as well as shortcuts and the space bar (in fact, I’ve hit the space bar out of habit a few times with NS2)

Just to be clear, in my experiments with GeoShred as a MIDI controller, I’m not using it in NS2 as an AU; I’m running it externally as a stand-alone app, the same way as I use MusixPro so it should just be another MIDI input source (and it shows up in NS2 on the MIDI input panel for Obsidian). It has an auto-sampler feature that can sample your hardware synths, and has multiple options for setting loop points in multisamples (see the review in Sound on Sound mag).
