  • Yeah… appologies for that. It is something I should have caught in the beta testing phase, but I and the rest of the team were using iDevices and not playing MIDI controllers with sustain pedals. So much else to work on that we weren’t thinking of piano. That slipped through the cracks. The thread @number37 posted explains…
  • Sounds like you updated your old iPad to iOS 11 or later, is that correct? I don’t think you can undo that and return to an older iOS, but I have not researched that thoroughly. I would look into it if I were you. NS1 will not run on newer iOS (11 and higher). To get your old projects you can follow the method used in this…
  • The IAP patch DubBuzzed is interesting - it uses samples and then modulates the sound with filter and level for a wobble effect. Generate/find some samples and swap them out and you could makes a lot of variations. Same with DubHardGnarl. DubWub has a classic dub sound, but it has 2 oscs of FM and one Nanosaw. I can’t get…

  • Yes. It isn’t my forte, but have you looked at some of the existing IAP patches like CallDatMassive, DarkSyn, or MetalWub? Maybe deconstruct those for some tips?

  • Welcome @Flavelius !! You are clearly a right-minded individual! 😊 I and many NS2 users share your sentiment. NS2 is super intuitive, with a great workflow for how I create music, and I find it is the best tool to actually complete pieces of music. That last bit is something many people agree with. I for one believe when…
  • Hmmmm. For me NS2 isn’t dying. I use it regularly. It’s just that the user base of NS2 isn’t growing at a noticable rate. The AB forum is certainly a good gathering place to discuss iOS music in general, but I still detect an anti-NS2 bias from those who absolutely must have audio tracks. Luckily iOS apps are cheap enough…
  • The conundrum: NS2 was not conceived as a MAC app. Sounds to me like the problem lies with Hanon B70 AU since that is the main variable. Hanon B70 AUv3 works in NS2 on iPad, but Hanon B70 AU does not work in NS2 on MAC. Have you consulted with the Dev of Hanon B70? Have they updated their AU app to work with iPad apps? I…
  • Yeah. I noticed. Where ya been? Hanging out at that fancy Audiobus Forum again? The kids these days….. 😃😂🤣
  • @number37 have you used 4 Pockets Multitrack Recorder with NS2? I have the app but haven’t yet had the need to try it. I should probably try it so I can know if/how to recommend it. …Once I get some pressing projects handled that is.

  • In general I would say that if you import .wav files it should be pretty easy. .m4a or other files will be a pain, so start with .wav files, edit the audio in Slate, trigger Slate pads in the sequencer, and I think you’d be in the ball park.
  • NS2 is no longer being developed. The app is what it is. There are two former Beta Testors who are forum Moderators that will try to answer questions, but we are volunteering our time. On Mar 26th when you had a question about IAPs, I answered with some suggestions with two posts that day, but you didn’t follow up to let…
  • 😯😮🫨 Regular search. I have never even bothered to look at the ‘Purchased’ tab. Holy Shit! I did as you suggested and not only was I able to find Alchemy and download it, but Restore Purchases worked as well! I’m totally delighted. Clearly I was overly harsh on Apple - they removed Alchemy for new sales, but not for…
  • Thanks @number37 for the tip! I hadn’t heard of iMazing before. There are various apps to organize files & photos, but this one is the only one I have seen that can move apps between iOS devices. From their website: “ Download your apps (.ipa) to your computer, and install them across your iOS devices.” I thought it was a…
  • I “inherited” my wife’s iPad Pro that she NEVER used. Got it onto my Apple ID and because the iPad is on iOS 10, I was able to load NS1 onto it. Score! One more iPad to preserve my old NS1 projects. I am stoked to have another iPad with NS1 in it. Sadly, Alchemy was removed from the AppStore by the evil Apple. I didn’t…
  • Nice tracks!

  • Great! That’s the same iPad I have, so it’s good news for me.
